St. Lucie West K-8 students in Ms. Lynch’s 5th-grade math classes became city planners. Each student was assigned to build a city block by fulfilling one of the following buildings: restaurant, municipality, residential, shopping, and entertainment. The students made nets and then determined the volume of each building, decorated, and later confirmed each other’s recorded volume. The creative results were amazing to see. JAWSOME JOB, SHARKS!
