During the months of November and December, HOSA invited the faculty, staff, and students of SLWCHS to participate in a toy drive for the children on the caseload of Devereux Community Based Care of Okeechobee and the Treasure Coast. These children are in protective custody due to unfortunate circumstances in their own homes. They are often placed with foster families or relatives during this difficult time.
Eagle faculty, staff and students banded together and collected more than 175 gifts for these special children. Members of our HOSA chapter and Allied Health classes helped load Devereux’s ‘sleigh’ last week. Merry Christmas to all!
