SLW Centennial Hosts Boot Camp for ELA & History Students

SLW Centennial High School recently held boot camps for freshmen, sophomores, and juniors, targeting students in the bottom quartile. The 9th and 10th grade boot camp focused on ELA students, while the 11th grade boot camp was dedicated to History students. These initiatives aimed to equip students with effective testing strategies and boost their confidence through motivational speeches and engaging activities.

Teachers and coaches delivered inspiring speeches, encouraging students to adopt a positive mindset and approach their studies with determination. The boot camps also included various games designed to practice test-taking skills, making the learning process both fun and educational.

The ELA boot camp for freshmen and sophomores provided students with valuable tools to improve their reading and writing skills, while the History boot camp for juniors focused on enhancing their understanding of historical concepts and critical thinking abilities. Both events were a great success, fostering a supportive environment and helping students improve their academic performance.
