Students at CAST are gearing up for another amazing year in math. After completing PM1, students are looking ahead and setting their academic goals in math, ELA, Civics, and science. As part of their preparation, 6th-grade students in Ms. Wyatt’s math class enjoyed some friendly competition while writing and evaluating whole number exponents. Students took turns rolling two in one die to represent expressions in both exponential form and as repeated multiplication, before solving. The student with the higher product won the round. CAST ‘s theme this year is “Strive for 35”. Thirty-five points between PM1 and PM2, and another thirty-five between PM2 and PM3. 6th-grade is well on their way to achieving their goal. Way to go everyone!
