This was an eventful experience with students from St. Lucie Public Schools. Students had the opportunity of meeting with noteworthy scientists who dedicated their time to meet on a Saturday.
The day was filled with a planetarium view of fabulous planets, stars, the moon, constellations, and the sun. Students also had an opportunity of extracting DNA from a strawberry, and exploring fossils. The student highlight was the robotics presentation. Students had hands-on experience with the robot and learned about the components and creation of the robot’s movement. It was mathematical as well as scientific. The students really enjoyed this opportunity with these amazing scientists.
A special thanks to Mrs. Zulay Nieves Garcia and the St. Lucie District for allowing our students to participate in this grand scientific experience. Teachers were there in support of our students, in the name of SCIENCE.
