PSLHS JROTC Teach Southport Students PT

On Thursday March 7^th, 2019, select cadets from the Port St. Lucie High School Army JROTC Jaguar Battalion’s Raider Team went to Southport Middle School. Seven Cadets: Cadet Corporal Mayoliv Hernandez, Cadet Captain Mathew Simmons, Cadet Sergeant First- Class Edward Cook, Cadet Corporal Alexis Wilson, Cadet Sergeant Justin Bennet, Cadet Major Joleen Kalinowski, and Cadet Corporal Emma Lewiston joined Southport’s gym class periods 5, 6, and 7. Cadets showed students how to stretch and do 4-square exercises. To conclude the physical training, cadets and students played tug-of-war. At the end of each period, students gathered around the middle of the gym to talk about healthy eating habitats. The student that showed the most motivation won a $10 Tropical Smoothie gift card!
