Port St. Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion Hosts Successful First Blood Drive

On September 10, 2026, the Port St. Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion proudly hosted its first blood drive of the academic year in partnership with ONEBLOOD. The event resulted in 60 students, faculty, and staff members donating blood, an effort that has the potential to save at least 84 lives.

Cadets played a critical role in the success of the blood drive by supporting key operational and logistical functions throughout the day. Their responsibilities included verifying donor eligibility during check-in, escorting student donors to and from their classrooms, and assisting with post-donation monitoring in the recovery area. Through their professionalism and attention to detail, the Cadets helped ensure the ONEBLOOD Big Red Bus operated efficiently and effectively.

The Jaguar Battalion takes great pride in the commitment and service demonstrated by its Cadets, as well as the generosity displayed by all donors who participated. This successful event reflects the Battalion’s dedication to serving the community, promoting public health, and developing responsible citizen leaders. Building on this achievement, the Jaguar Battalion looks forward to continuing its partnership with ONEBLOOD and supporting future blood drives that make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
