On October 24, 2026, the Port St. Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion proudly participated in the Professional Golf Association (PGA) golf tournament, providing the Color Guard for the event. The team represented the school and JROTC program with precision, discipline, and pride during the ceremony.
The Color Guard consisted of Cadet Command Sergeant Major Hunter Hessian, carrying the US colors; Cadet Major Kamron Harris, carrying the state colors; Cadet Captain Sophie Ward, serving as the right guard; and Cadet Captain Luna Rivera, serving as the left guard.
This event benefits The Warrior’s Journey, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving Veterans, Active-Duty Military personnel, and First Responders through peer-to-peer support, mentorship, and suicide intervention. To date, more than 5,200 lives have been impacted through this mission, and we are honored to help bring our community together in support of these American heroes.
The event took place at the Wanamaker Course, located conveniently near the clubhouse, where the Cadets presented the colors before the 1300 (1:00 PM) match began. In addition to the opening ceremony, the Cadets stood watch at the 18th hole throughout the tournament, greeting each team of golfers as they arrived and rendering honors to the American flag at every team’s approach. Their professionalism, military bearing, and dedication exemplified the core values of JROTC and made the Jaguar Battalion stand out as true ambassadors of respect, service, and excellence within the community.
