Introducing Lincoln Park Academy Theatre’s fall musical… Pippin! This magnificent tale follows a young prince named Pippin who longs to find passion and adventure in his life. As told by a traveling troupe of actors led by the cunning Leading Player, Pippin becomes a soldier for his father Charlemagne’s army but is upset by the way his father rules. After taking things into his own hands, and becoming king, he is even more lost and unsure about what he wants in life and turns away from everything, including love, before discovering that what he has been searching for has been there all along. With infectious tunes by Stephen Schwartz and classic choreography influence from Bob Fosse, Pippin is both a humorous allegory about growing up and a tale of the danger of false appearances and empty promises.
