TCHS has made history as the FIRST all-female robotics team in the St. Lucie School District and the Florida FUN League. A huge congratulations to our incredible TITANIDES members, who, alongside our TITAN men’s team, proudly represented TCHS at the Game Reveal event this past Saturday, September 7th at American Heritage High School in Delray Beach. The Air Force JROTC (AFJROTC ) at Treasure Coast HS recently held a Basic Training week for new Cadets. The week focused on basic training including teamwork, drill, and marksmanship activities. Treasure Coast High School is excited to announce the arrival of Senior Aerospace Science Instructor, Colonel James Golden. He arrives with the extensive aviation experience and education required to deliver the school’s Embry Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) dual-enrollment classes. On March 2 and 3, 2019, the Treasure Coast High School Air Force JROTC will be conducting a 14 mile walk to raise awareness of those who survived and those who gave their lives in WWII during the fight for control of the Philippines. This walk, titled The 2019 Bataan Memorial Death March, will take place starting at the school and cadets will walk down Port St. Lucie Boulevard to Veterans Memorial Parkway on Saturday from 08:00-11:00, and then from Veterans Memorial Parkway back to the school on Sunday from 12:00-3pm. Treasure Coast High School AFJROTC completed a 15-mile memorial walk/march on Saturday and Sunday, March 2nd and 3rd. The memorial march, entitled a “Bataan Death March” was done to honor those who survived and those who gave their lives in WWII during the fight for control of the Philippines. . After their surrender on the island of Luzon, the Americans were marched to POW camps hundreds of miles away. Many perished in the march. The AFJROTC unit completed a march from TCHS to Veterans Memorial Park and back to the high school to raise awareness in memorial to our WWII heroes. … Read More
On Friday, August 18th, Treasure Coast High School celebrated students for their academic achievement on their AICE exams. AICE is an international diploma program where students can earn a diploma via an advanced academic curriculum and assessment program written and administered by a non-profit department (CIE) of the University of Cambridge in England. For the June 2023 testing series, 708 students passed one or more AICE exams, 78 students earned AICE Diplomas, and 100 students from the class of 2023 graduated with their AICE Diploma. Treasure Coast High School is proud of our students for their hard work and dedication.
Treasure Coast High School AFJROTC cadets attended the Kennedy Space Center as a Cadet in Action field trip. They got to experience a rocket launch by the US Space Force and the cadets were in awe of the sights and sounds of the rocket. The cadets got a chance to look back to a part of U.S. History and experience an attraction unlike any other in the world. The Kennedy Space Center is the only place in the U.S. where actual space shuttles and rockets launch into the skies and make history and is still operational today. The trip supported … Read More
The Bataan Death March was the forcible transfer by the Imperial Japanese Army of 75,000 American and Filipino prisoners of war (POW) from the municipalities of Bagac and Mariveles on the Bataan Peninsula to Camp O’Donnell via San Fernando. On October 8, TCHS AFJROTC cadets served at the DDS For Vets Annual Fundraising Gala. DDS for Vets is an organization that raises money to support wounded veterans by gifting them service dogs. Each service dog costs $100K to train over a yearlong period, so the DDS Gala was an important fundraising event for DDS. TCHS color guard posted and retired the colors and its POW/MIA honor guard team performed a ceremony in remembrance of Prisoners of War and Missing in Action. The event was attended by many VIPs, including Congressman Brian Mast.
Congratulations to the Treasure Coast High School Air Force JROTC Drill team on their accomplishments during the State Drill Meet on April 5th. Color Guard Commander C/Lt Col Henrik Kristiansen earned fourth place as well as third place as Team Commander. The Armed Exhibition team commanded by C/Maj Sebastian Quick earned third place. Looking forward to an even stronger performance in future years.
The Air Force Junior ROTC instructors and cadets of Treasure Coast High School in Port St. Lucie, FL earned an overall unit assessment score of “Exceeds Standards”, the highest rating attainable, during their evaluation on 6-February 2023. Instructors were lauded for creating a dynamic and supportive learning environment coupled with excellent community outreach. The instructors provided outstanding leadership in administering the cadet-centered citizenship program. The Treasure Coast High School cadets performed exceptionally well and took great pride in leading and accomplishing their unit goals. The TCHS AFJROTC POW/MIA Ceremonial Team performed on August 13, 2022, for the Florida League of Cities Annual Conference in Hollywood, Florida, attended by all Vice-Mayors from the entirety of the state of Florida. TCHS Cadets were specifically invited to perform by our own Vice Mayor of Port St Lucie, Jolien Caraballo, who was inducted as the League President for 2022-2023. The team was honored to pay tribute to our nation’s heroes and received a standing ovation from the attendees.
Cadets in our Air Force JROTC program were honored during the AS1 pinning ceremony. This promotion ceremony is for first-year cadets in the program. Cadets received new ranks as Airmen based on exam results. Congratulations to our Titan Cadets! Titan Born, Titan Bred!
Treasure Coast High School’s AFJROTC Cadets participated in honoring Patriot’s Day with a flag folding ceremony as well as a retirement of American Flags no longer serviceable. Each Cadet learned the true meaning behind each fold of the flag and was able to experience just how mesmerizing a flag folding ceremony could be. The United States is the only country who folds its flag in such a manner, and it is important to teach future generations the significance of this tradition. Treasure Coast High School, AFJROTC Unit FL-20081 conducted several events in celebration and remembrance of our fallen military members on Veterans Day. With two Color Guards being performed consecutively in addition to the Veterans Day Ceremony held at Veteran Memorial Park, many cadets dedicated their time to honoring veterans. Furthermore, all events were attended by a plethora of veterans from every military branch, with every cadet earnestly learning about the unique experiences each veteran had to tell. Treasure Coast High School AFJROTC Cadets participated in a community service project titled Pack the House. They made holiday care packages for families in need to have meals during Thanksgiving. In each box, cadets stuffed a variety of canned and dry foods for those who may not be able to afford them themselves. Twenty-five cadets completed about 4,000 care packages in total with all the other volunteers that participated to achieve their goal of 15,000 packages. Treasure Coast High School is excited to announce of the 150 AFJROTC cadets selected worldwide for this Summer’s AFJROTC Flight Academy. TCHS AFJROTC had 3 cadets on the list. Cadets Michael Brandt, Jayden Beiter, and Christian Gatto were selected on the “alternates” list for this summer. This is the first time we’ve had three chosen, and that’s a tribute both to their hard work and preparation for the selection process.
