Bayshore in Partnership with Read for the Record

Ms. Dvir from PNC, in partnership with Read for the Record, visited Ms. Budhram’s and Ms. Dalis’ VPK classroom to read the story “With Lots of Love”. This story was wonderfully written and illustrated to give students a glimpse of what family means, finding ways to stay connected, and sharing love across distances. Ms. Dvir enjoyed sharing stories about her own family and the special things they like to do. Students thanked Ms. Dvir with personal pictures of their own family and things that they love. Thank you for your partnership!    

Bayshore Honor Society Participates in Service Project

Bayshore Elementary students in the National Elementary Honor Society (N.E.H.S) participated in a school beautification project. For part of the N.E.H.S. community service project, students in fourth and fifth grade at Bayshore Elementary developed and implemented a plan to clean up their school. Bayshore First Graders Celebrate iReady Proficiency!

Students in Mrs. Glidden’s first grade class at Bayshore Elementary have been working hard to increase their i-Ready proficiency rates. Recently many students reached 100% proficiency in reading and math iReady lessons. They were given certificates and accolades by their peers for their hard work. Congratulations!

Bayshore Families Celebrate Literacy!

Bayshore Elementary School hosted a Superhero Literacy Night as part of Celebrate Literacy Week.  Families started the night learning about their children’s upcoming curriculum.  Afterwards, they participated in fun literacy stations that included superhero reading, bingo for books, word building, and creating soaring reading goals!    Pictured, from left to right, are fifth grade student Vanessa Cruz, first grade student Jonathan Cruz, and Kilsy De Jesus.

Bayshore Elementary’s Tunnel of Hope

Bayshore Elementary finished the first week of school with our beloved tradition—the Tunnel of Hope! Students were welcomed with cheers, high-fives, and encouraging smiles from staff, families, and community members as they walked into a new year full of possibilities. The energy was contagious, setting a positive tone for the days ahead. Bayshore Elementary’s Third Graders Master Time

Ms. Piekara’s third-grade class has been enthusiastically working on telling time and understanding elapsed time this week. The students engaged in various interactive activities to grasp these concepts. They used analog clocks to practice setting and reading different times and digital clocks to compare and contrast. One fun activity involved timing their favorite classroom tasks, like reading or drawing, and then calculating the elapsed time. They also played games where they had to solve time-related puzzles and challenges. Bayshore Elementary proudly celebrated academic excellence during its Quarter 3 Honor Roll Assembly, recognizing the hard work and dedication of students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. Students were honored in three categories: Honor Roll for earning all A’s and B’s, Principal’s Honor Roll for achieving all A’s, and maintaining strong behavior grades as an essential part of their success. Bayshore Elementary lit up with excitement during our Perfect Attendance Glow Party! Students who achieved perfect attendance for both Quarter 1 and Quarter 2 were invited to celebrate their outstanding commitment. Each student received a glow stick and a special Perfect Attendance tag to mark their accomplishment. The lights dimmed, the music turned up, and our students enjoyed dancing, laughing, and spending time together. Bayshore Elementary’s Mental Health Awareness Night was a wonderful evening focused on connection, learning, and wellness for our school community. Families enjoyed a delicious dinner from Publix, and the first 50 Bayshore students were treated to free Kona Ice, adding to the excitement of the event. Students participated in engaging, hands-on activities designed to support their mental health, including creating pinwheels for breathing exercises, calming glitter bottles, bracelets, and squish balls. Bayshore Elementary’s Grayson Waugh to participate in national leadership conference

Fifth grade Bayshore Elementary School student Grayson Waugh will participate in the upcoming People World Leadership Forum in Washington, D.C., June 17-22. Grayson is the only local student who will attend the conference designed to teach students about leadership and how iconic leaders throughout history have handled world events. Bayshore Elementary’s First Grade Thanksgiving Celebration

Mrs. Jones’ first-grade class at Bayshore Elementary celebrated Thanksgiving with a day full of fun and gratitude. The students participated in various crafts and activities, making the event both enjoyable and meaningful. They disguised a turkey, turning it into creative and colorful characters, which brought lots of laughter and excitement. Bayshore Elementary recently celebrated Diwali as part of their “Holidays Around the World” series for kindergarteners. Bayshore Elementary’s Craft with Counselors Event

Bayshore’s School Counseling Team held their Holiday Craft with the Counselors event. Students got to decorate an Ice Cream Cone Tree, color Charlie Brown coloring pages, decorate a Christmas ornament to take home, have a pizza dinner, & a holiday picture! Bayshore Elementary students had a blast during our Character Dress-Up Day, a special PBIS event that allowed them to spend 25 Jazzy Cash to participate! Bayshore’s incredible cafeteria staff went above and beyond by transforming the entire lunchroom into an exciting video‑game world inspired by Super Mario. This creative makeover has turned each day into a playful adventure where students can “power up” their choices and practice positive behavior. By making healthy food choices, students earn Power Ups, and by showing kindness and respect, they can collect coins in the form of 0, 3, or 5 points.
