“Too Good” at Village Green

Village Green Elementary’s Kindergarten classes have been participating in the Mendez Foundation’s “Too Good” program for the past few weeks. Ms. Kia has been teaching these little ones about conflict resolution, anger management, respect for self and others as well as effective communication. She is using cooperative learning and age-appropriate tactics to help keep the kids engaged while learning. These kids will be well-equipped with the tools to help them succeed!

Title I/School Renewal hosts institute to support schools in increasing student achievement

The Office of Title I/School Renewal hosted a three-day institute for teachers and administrators from nine St. Lucie schools on August 7, 8 and 9 at Samuel Gaines Academy. The institute provided the opportunity for additional guidance, support and motivation to those supporting these schools as they work together to increase student achievement. Titans Varsity Football Team Named Zephyrhills Team of the Week

Titan Wins Third Place

In celebration of Black History Month, the judges of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida held a creative arts and essay contest that was open to high school students in St. Lucie, Indian River, and Martin counties. This year’s theme was “Connecting and Celebrating the African Diaspora.” Out of 69 entries, Treasure Coast High School student Autumn won third place celebrating the Carribean/American connection! Titan Theatre Production is Under Way

Rehearsal is underway for Treasure Coast High School’s Titan Theatre Production of Puffs or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic. Puffs tells the story of an orphan boy Wayne Hopkins, played by Ricky Corbo, who finds out he is a wizard and the seven eventful years following his acceptance to a certain magic school in England. Titan Sounds Earns Straight Superiors

The Treasure Coast High School Titan Sound Band participated in the FBA District 13 MPA (Music Performance Assessment) on Saturday, October 29th. They performed their 2023 field production “Finding Home” for a group of pristine adjudicators and earned straight superiors! The Titan Sound Band then went on to play at the TC football game, where they rallied the team to victory against Vero Beach High School. This past Saturday, November 4, 2023, Treasure Coast High School hosted the First Tech Challenge Meet 1, abbreviated FTC Meet 1. It was the first official meet of the new league, called the F.U.N. League for First United Network League. The St. Lucie FTC Teams, FTC Team from Fort Pierce Westwood, FTC Team 23514 Westwood Panthers, and Treasure Coast High School’s FTC Team 5158 T.I.T.A.N.S., were joined by teams spanning the adjacent counties of Martin, Okeechobee, and Palm Beach.
