Fort Pierce Central High School students got immersed in the possibilities for a future of their choosing! IRSC and numerous community partners came out to give students a first-hand view of trades, careers, and college options. FPC Inducts New NHS Officers for 25-26 School Year

Fort Pierce Central High School recently celebrated a momentous occasion with the induction of its National Honor Society (NHS) officers for the 2025-2026 school year. The ceremony, held in the school’s auditorium, was a testament to the values of scholarship, leadership, service, and character that the NHS upholds. The event began with a warm welcome from NHS’ sponsor Mrs. Kelly Wiggett who emphasized the importance of the NHS in fostering academic excellence and community service. Fort Pierce Central Gets Students Involved! Central means family! Whether it is welcoming new 9th grades or transfer students, Cobra nation welcomes all students and invites everyone to join a club, student organization, seek an athletic opportunity, and ultimately explore what it means to be part of the Cobra family!  From Embry-Riddle to Creative Writing Club, Gay-Straight Alliance to Anime Club, Central’s diverse student opportunities offer something for everyone! FPC Hosts Door Decorating Contest!

Student Government Association (SGA) of Fort Pierce Central High School hosted a staff door decorating contest to spread holiday cheer! The Santa on the left is Mr. Coughlin’s creation from room 1-123. The snow friend on the right is Mrs. Baechle’s from room 1-122. FPC Hosts CTE Fair for 9th-Grade Students

The purpose of the event was to educate the 9th-grade class about the CTE programs offered at FPC before 9th-grade students sign up for 10th-grade classes. The goal was to place students in the right programs to flourish in completing an academy while achieving the highest level of industry certifications. Each program had a table with all kinds of information about their CTE course and what it is all about. FPC Hosted the 25th Annual Putnam Co. Spelling Bee

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee was proudly performed by the Fort Pierce Central Theatre Department and directed by Mrs. Tiffany Gardner. This award-winning musical comedy was a delightful mix of humor, heart, and unexpected twists. The show follows six quirky middle-schoolers as they compete in the cutthroat but hilarious Putnam County Spelling Bee, guided by equally eccentric adults. Our school was transformed into a dazzling gala, complete with electrifying music, stunning photo opportunities, and delectable cuisine. FPC High School Odyssey of the Mind Team off to World Finals in May!

Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college. Team members apply their creativity to solve problems that range from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretation of literary classics. They then bring their solutions to competition on the local, state, and World level. Thousands of teams from throughout the U.S. and from about 25 other countries participate in the program. FPC Health Sciences & Cox Science Center

Health Sciences teacher Mrs. Barbara Charles and the FPC Medical Academy students traveled to the Cox Science Center in West Palm Beach for a day of interactive learning. Forty-two students got a hands-on learning experience by engaging in a Brain in Action lab and performing pig dissections. This field trip was the first of its kind for FPC’s Medical Academy and Mrs. Charles hopes to create a long-lasting partnership with the Cox Science Center for many future collaborations.

FPC Gardening Club Goes Hydroponic!

Gardening Club President, Senior Jessica Aguilera tends to the newly planted and sprouting microgreens and gourds in the hydroponics unit. The FPC Gardening Club is operating in its second year. Students have been planting fall season seeds and germinating Florida-hearty plants. From adding to the collective compost and churning new soil, Gardening Club members get the full experience of planting and growing from the ground up. FPC Freshmen Academy CTE Fair 2020-2021

Made possible with the outstanding collaboration of FPC CTE teachers and students, FPC’s Freshman Seminar classes participated in a CTE Fair.  FPC CTE academies set up “CTE Stations” in building 2 to showcase their programs and the myriad of advantages and opportunities offered to Cobra students. The Freshman Seminar teachers rotated their classes around to each station encouraging students to learn about the course offerings ahead of class registration for next year. FPC French Club Students Visit Paris, “The City of Light!”

Over spring break, a group of seventeen French Club students and three teacher chaperones from Fort Pierce Central High School departed from Miami International en route to Paris, France. Each day the group sampled a variety of cuisines at various restaurants that ranged from traditional French fare to the food of the French Caribbean, West Africa, and others. The trip included stops at the Louvre and Orsay Museums to admire Leonardo DaVinci’s famous “Mona Lisa” and the works of Vincent Van Gogh. True to Cobra style, parades celebrating Ms. Loretta Rolle and Mr. Roszon Lawrence celebrated from every corner of Cobra nation’s courtyard.
