The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee was proudly performed by the Fort Pierce Central Theatre Department and directed by Mrs. Tiffany Gardner. This award-winning musical comedy was a delightful mix of humor, heart, and unexpected twists. The show follows six quirky middle-schoolers as they compete in the cutthroat but hilarious Putnam County Spelling Bee, guided by equally eccentric adults. Each speller had their own unique story and reasons for wanting to win, whether it was proving themselves to their family, overcoming insecurities, or just trying to make sense of growing up. As they spelled their way through words, both absurd and difficult, hilarity ensued with surprising audience interaction, unexpected emotions, and heartfelt moments of self-discovery. It was a musical celebration of awkward adolescence and finding confidence in being yourself.
