Congratulations to Lincoln Park Academy Senior, Callie Zheng for being selected as Fort Pierce Rotary Club, Student of the Month for October.  Callie is a graduating with a weighted GPA of an awesome 6.22.  She is the daughter of Quan Zheng and Wei Cai. LPA Senior Band Members Host “Instrument Intros”

Members from the Lincoln Park Academy Wind Ensemble collaborated with the 6th-grade band students and demonstrated the sounds of each band instrument. The students were able to get a preview of the wonderful band culture at LPA and select their instrument of choice. The 6th-graders were highly enthusiastic, polite, and eager to begin their journey into becoming musicians. Go Greyhounds!

LPA Sends Two Teams to Odyssey of the Mind State Finals

Congratulations to the LPA Odyssey of the Mind teams! On February 26, two teams competed in the Regional Tournament at Suncoast High School in Riviera Beach and both teams are headed to the Florida State Tournament on the campus of the University of Central Florida on April 8. Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from K to 12th grades. LPA Runner Continues to Shine

Jacey Lane (10th grade) opened her 2022 cross country season by winning first place at the St. Lucie West Centennial Cross Country Invitational on August 24th.  She also won first place at the Wayne Cross Invitational on August 31st by finishing the 3.1 mile course in her career best time of 20:37.  Congratulations on a job well done!

LPA Qualified For National Bowling Championship

LPA Performs at Disney Candlelight Processional

The Lincoln Park Academy Chorus participated in the Disney 2022 Candlelight Processional on Friday, December 9th. The Candlelight Processional, which occurs daily from November 25th through December 30th in the American Gardens Theatre at Epcot, brings you along on the incredible Nativity story. Each year a celebrity narrator takes Disney guests through the journey complete with a mass choir and a 50-piece orchestra. High school choirs must audition to be selected to participate in this very prestigious event. This is the 16th consecutive year that the LPA Chorus has been selected.

LPA Participates in NPR’s Great Thanksgiving Listen

Mrs. Jamie Spooner‘s Honors English classes participated in the Great Thanksgiving Listen between the Thanksgiving and Winter Break.  This project, developed by NPR and StoryCorps,  allowed the students to interview friends, family, and important role models to allow their memory and voice to be saved to the Library of Congress.  It helped the students to continue to grow as communicators during their study of American literature.

LPA Orchestras Represented at the Florida Orchestra Association All State Orchestras in Tampa

Lincoln Park Academy Orchestras are proud of Giselle Arana Cisneros and Sophia Leeflang, who recently took part in the Florida Orchestra Association All-State High School and Middle School Orchestras in Tampa. These musicians made it through rigorous rounds of auditions in September, in addition to re-seating auditions. LPA Orchestra Students Perform at All State High School Honors Orchestra

Giselle Arana Cisneros, grade 10 –violin Lincoln Park Academy, performed with the Florida Orchestra All-State High School Honors Orchestra, and Christine Gergely, grade 8–viola, performed with the All-State Middle School Orchestra in Tampa during the 2024 Florida Music Education Association Professional Development Conference.  Both students are members of the Orchestras at Lincoln Park Academy, under the direction of Ms. Laura Hopkins.

LPA Odyssey of the Mind Team Heading to State Competition

The Odyssey of the Mind Team represented LPA on Saturday, March 10th in the Regional competition in West Palm Beach and will be moving on to the State competition on Saturday, April 14th in Orlando. The Team won first place and was additionally awarded an “Omer Award,” which is given to teams “for meeting and exceeding the goals of the Odyssey of the Mind creative problem-solving competition.”

LPA NJHS Empowering the Future

National Junior Honor Society students unite to combat hunger, one can at a time. Students used communication skills to spread awareness about the reality of hunger in our world. A total of 389 non-perishable food items were collected.  Way to go Greyhounds!!! 🌟🥫 #NJHS #CommunityService #EndHunger

Lincoln Park Academy’s National Junior Honor Society students are eager, wide-eyed students ready to embark on a journey of leadership, service, and academic excellence. Students gathered to learn, connect, and embrace the opportunities that lie ahead, as they take their first steps towards becoming the future leaders of their community and beyond.

National Junior Honor Society students came together to deliver coffee and a sweet treat to teachers to show their appreciation for all that they do. Their hard work and dedication are a direct result of the leadership that they have fallen under from teachers. They showed compassion and kindness as they worked tirelessly to serve the staff. LPA National Junior Honor Society Collects and Sorts Canned Goods for Grace Pack Distribution

National Junior Honor Society students came together to help those in need by collecting and sorting food for the Grace Pack Foundation. Their hard work and dedication will make a difference in the lives of many families. They showed compassion and kindness as they worked tirelessly to ensure that no one goes hungry. LPA MS Students Preparing for the Next Step

On Friday, February 3, 2017, 26 select 8th grade students from Lincoln Park Academy toured several programs at Indian River State College during Middle School Great Explorations.  These students spent the day gaining valuable hands-on experience in the robotics, photonics, medical services, and computer animation/digital media fields.  The purpose of the trip centered on the connection between secondary education and the world of work, cementing the learning which took place during the 8th grade Naviance activities completed throughout the school year.  Feedback from the students was very encouraging and we can’t wait for next year’s trip!      

LPA MS Students are Committed to Graduate

On Friday, September 27, 2019, Lincoln Park Academy Middle School students participated in the annual Commitment to Graduate “C2G” ceremony. This ceremony reminds students of the caring adults who support them and why they are in school, which is to graduate! After the students shook Mr. Sanabria’s hand, signed a graduate silhouette, and received a keepsake to commemorate the celebration.   This is their declaration that they are their commitment to graduate from high school. Their commitment silhouette will be proudly displayed on campus.  Great job, Greyhounds!
