Port St. Lucie High School cadets open baseball season at home

The Port St. Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion presented the colors for the opening ceremony for the Jaguar baseball game against Fort Pierce Westwood High School. The Color Guard was led by cadet Sergeant Major Robert Hopkins carrying the national flag. Cadet Captain Tyler Lynn carried the state flag while Cadet Captain Ashlee Seipel and Cadet Second Lieutenant Jaffrey Murankus posted as their guards. Port St. Lucie High School Brightens the Holidays with a Successful Toy Drive

The Port Saint Lucie High School JROTC program successfully completed its annual holiday toy drive, exemplifying professionalism and a deep sense of community responsibility. This initiative was conducted in partnership with Guardians for New Futures and Communities Connected for Kids. Every year, the Jaguar Battalion has the privilege of working with these outstanding organizations to collect toys during the Holiday Season, reinforcing the importance of giving back and supporting those in need. The Port St. Lucie High School Band, led by Band Director Troy Wiley had a phenomenal time at Crown Jewel this weekend! Shout out to @crownjewelvb for running a flawless and welcoming event as always! Our band did extremely well earning best in class in the Gold division, and best Color Guard in the whole competition! @colorguardpslhs was incredible today!!!  What an incredible performance by you all! Huge shoutout to Kyle Matthews and the PSLHS Band for an absolutely phenomenal Spectrum Concert!   For two straight hours, our talented students delivered non-stop music in a truly unique experience designed and led by the students themselves. Port St. Lucie High School Athletic Department Collects Supplies for Hurricane Ian Victims!

The Port St. Lucie High School Athletic Department, headed by Athletic Director Harold Barnwell spent lots of time collecting bottled water, a variety of food, toiletries, and cleaning supplies to help our neighbors affected by Hurricane Ian. We are so thankful that we did well during the Hurricane and want to support our fellow Floridian’s as they begin the huge task of recovery.

Port St. Lucie High School at the District History Fair

Sixteen PSLHS students competed at our District History Fair January 21st and brought home 3 first place awards, 1 second place, and 1 third place.  Congrats to Jessica Fernandez (1st Individual Exhibit), Savannah Cymbal (1st Individual Website), Mark Alton, Ondra Lee (1st Group Website), Diana Nguyen (2nd Place Individual Website) HaileyVotino & Taylor Tetreault (3rd Place Group Documentary). Port St. Lucie High School Army JROTC Selects New Battalion Commander

On April 26th at 6PM the Port St. Lucie High School Army JROTC Jaguar Battalion hosted their annual Change of Command Ceremony. Relieving the current Battalion Commander of his duty c/LTC Travis Cetin welcomed c/LTC Veronika Patti to command and lead the Battalion on a successful path for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year. Port St. Lucie High School Army JROTC Jaguar Battalion March 30th Annual Homecoming Parade

On October 11, 2018, the Port St. Lucie Army JROTC Jaguar Battalion participated in the 30th annual homecoming parade from Village Green Elementary School, down Lennard Road, and back to Port St. Lucie High School. Congressman Brian Mast and leading cadets took turns calling cadences as they showed their pride carrying each state’s flag. Leading our Battalion was PSLHS’s color guard commanded by Cadet 1st Sergeant Andre Hannon, accompanied by Cadet Major Dariel Parzych and Cadet 2nd Lieutenant Justin Locklar and Cadet 2nd Lieutenant Mic heal Bourguillon as guards.  

Port St. Lucie High School Army JROTC Assist with Wounded Warrior Surf Day Project!!!

On Saturday, September 29, 2018, the Port St. Lucie High School Army JROTC Jaguar Battalion Color Guard presented the nation’s colors at the 7th annual Wounded Warrior Surf Day. Leading the parade along with St. Lucie County Fire Rescue Bag Pipes and Drums, the Color Guard proudly marched wounded warriors and their families to the beach. PSLHS’s Color Guard included Cadet Captain Brianna Harris as National Flag Bearer, Cadet Sergeant First Class Lawrence Moleon-Mathews as the State Flag Bearer, Cadet Second Lieutenant Justin Locklar, and Cadet Sergeant Alexis Morris as Guards. Every year, the Port Saint Lucie JROTC program has the privilege to work with Guardians for New Futures and Communities Connected for Kids, to collect toys for kids during the holiday season. Port Saint Lucie High School staff and JROTC cadets sponsored many kids to make sure they have a memorable holiday season. We were able to collect over 100 gifts this year.
