Port St. Lucie High School Qualifies for States!!!

The Port St. Lucie High School Army JROTC Jaguar Battalion attended the Area 3 Regional State Qualifying Raider Meet at Camp Tanah Keeta. The event was hosted by Jupiter High School, on October 29, for the right to represent Area 3 in the State Meet. The raider competition consisted of 5 events: a 2.2-mile team run, 1-mile litter carry, 35-pound kettlebell carry, tire flip, and constructing and crossing a rope bridge. On Friday, August 17th at 7 PM, the Port St. Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion assisted the first varsity football game of the season. The new cadets who signed up were eager to help and see what these honor guards had to offer for them. The cadets collected parking fees and donations as well as directed the guests into the parking lots. The cadets enjoyed themselves, got to know each other, and observed each other’s leadership skills shine through. From February 13th to the 18th, 25 of our most dedicated students faced the formidable challenges of the Junior Cadet Leadership Challenge (JCLC) 2026. This intensive week served as a true crucible, testing the character and endurance of every participant through a rigorous schedule defined by 0400 wake-up calls and the technical demands of rappelling, land navigation, and high-ropes courses. On Saturday April 27, 2019, 45 cadets from the Port St. Lucie High School Army JROTC Jaguar Battalion traveled to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay on an end-of-the-year trip. Thanks to all the support and funds provided to the cadets over the past several months, we were able to enjoy a day trip to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. Cadets spent a day riding popular rides like the “SheiKra” and “Tigris,” dined at the many fabulous restaurants, and enjoyed a day with their fellow cadets. Port St. Lucie High School Jaguars Conquer Raider State Qualifier

On October 18th, the Port St. Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion Raider Team showcased outstanding commitment and training by competing against six other schools in the demanding Southfork Regional Raider Meet. Both the male and female divisions faced identical, rigorous challenges: the 3-mile run, Rope Bridge, CCR (Cross Country Run), Fitness Test, and Fitness Challenge. This hands-on project has provided a significant, real-world learning experience while simultaneously enhancing the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame. The student-led renovation showcases the practical application of career and technical education. The Port St. Lucie High School Army JROTC Jaguar Battalion showcased exceptional skill and determination at the Army JROTC Raider High School State Championship in Brooksville, Florida, on November 15th. Competing against the top 40 programs in the state, our Cadets demonstrated remarkable endurance, teamwork, and leadership. On Thursday, February 12th, 2026, the Port St. Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion demonstrated exceptional leadership while assisting with the Freshman Open House. A total of 14 Cadets contributed to the event’s success, handling various responsibilities throughout the day. The afternoon began with a formal presentation of the colors, commanded by Cadet Command Sergeant Major Micah Rutter. On Thursday, March 12, the Port St. Lucie Jaguar Battalion reached a significant milestone by completing the JROTC Program of Accreditation (JPA) inspection. This high-stakes evaluation, conducted every three years, was overseen by Ms. Atkins, an official evaluator from Fort Benning, Georgia. Her presence added a layer of gravity to the day, as she meticulously graded our program on behalf of the U.S. Army. Port St. Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion Raiders Undertake Survival Campout at Camp Tanah Keeta!

On December 7, 2018, Port St. Lucie High School’s Army JROTC Battalion’s Raider Team participated in an overnight Wilderness Survival Campout at Camp Tanah Keeta. Cadets who were invited participated in several activities including canoeing, rope bridge, roasting marshmallows by a bonfire, making tin foil meals, and playing team bonding games. Cadets enjoyed hot chocolate and sandwiches for breakfast before cleaning up camp to head home.  

Port St. Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion Leads the Way at Annual MLK Day Parade

On January 19, 2026, the Port Saint Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion proudly participated in the annual parade commemorating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Approximately 150 Cadets marched the three-mile route along Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, beginning at Lincoln Park Academy and concluding at Lawnwood Elementary School. Leading the formation was the Battalion Commander, c/LTC Rebecca Guison, accompanied by the Battalion Staff. Following them were companies Alpha through Delta, each maintaining exceptional discipline and professionalism throughout the event.
