Mrs. Whitehead’s first-grade students have been learning about living things and life cycles. Life cycle is the series of changes in the life of an organism. They learned about the caterpillar turning into a butterfly. Over the course of a few days, they watched as the caterpillars spun into their cocoons and later turned into butterflies. Once the transformation was complete, they released them into our school’s garden.
