Mrs. Peterson’s first-grade class learned all about Hispanic Heritage Month. In honor of Hispanic Heritage, their class created Repujado en Aluminio. Repujado is a Spanish language term for embossed aluminum. This is a metal embossing technique dating back to the 12th century. It’s also a very popular and beloved craft in Mexico. Students pressed down and embossed Aluminum foil, then used Sharpies to make their masterpieces colorful.
