On April 22, Morningside Elementary School joyfully celebrated Earth Day with a special hands-on learning experience in Ms. Black’s class. The students had the exciting opportunity to release their Painted Lady butterflies after carefully watching them grow and change. From tiny caterpillars to beautiful butterflies, the class observed each stage of the life cycle and learned about metamorphosis in a meaningful way.
The experience sparked curiosity and excitement as students connected science lessons to real life. Watching the transformation unfold right before their eyes made the learning process memorable and engaging. By the time it was time to release the butterflies, the students felt proud and amazed by what they had witnessed. It was truly a fun and educational way to honor Earth Day!
