LPA Attends State Thespian Festival

During Spring Break of 2019, the Lincoln Park Academy Theater attended the 2019 State Thespian Festival. The level of accomplishment of the students that represented this theater department was the most impressive that it has ever been. Students were awarded with three superior rated scholarship auditions, all of which yielded interviews for colleges with the applicants for scholarships and training programs.  An additional three were superior rated performance pieces, two excellent ratings, and a straight superior rated Top Honors award on the Large Group Musical Performance. During the festival, students had the opportunity to participate in hands-on workshops led by professional actors, producers, choreographers, technicians, and dancers. These workshops taught students how to rehearse, perform, manage, and maintain a theater in the professional world, and better prepare them for opportunities in the future. As always, we look forward to attending the State Festival next year and are grateful to have been able to attend this year!
