Lincoln Park Academy Blood Drive Collects 36 Pints, Potentially Saving Up to 108 Lives

The Lincoln Park Academy Health Science Academy and HOSA Chapter #15124 thank everyone who took part in the school’s Blood Drive on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

The LPA community donated 36 pints of blood, which could help save up to 108 lives. Donors also gave 4 units of platelets. Platelets are used to treat cancer patients going through chemotherapy and accident victims. They can only be stored for a few days, so these donations will reach patients in need almost right away.

“Because of your kindness, generosity and willingness to make a difference, we accomplished something truly amazing,” said the Health Science Academy and HOSA Chapter.

The drive was a success because the whole LPA family took part. Student volunteers gave their time, energy and dedication to run the event. LPA staff supported it with flexibility and encouragement. Donors rolled up their sleeves to give someone else the gift of hope and life.

“This is what the Health Science Academy and HOSA are all about: leadership, service, compassion and making a difference in our community,” the chapter said. “We are so proud of what our LPA family accomplished together. Every donation matters, and every act of kindness counts.”

One School. One Community. 108 Lives Potentially Saved.
