On August 23rd, 2024, Port St. Lucie High School Army JROTC Jaguar Battalion cadets participated in the first parking detail honor guard for the senior nights home football game against Royal Palm High School. They directed traffic to the appropriate parking lot, carrying out their task efficiently. This was our busiest game and many obstacles occurred like the amount of parking spaces that were available, which resulted in having to park cars in the grass. The cadets ran this event smoothly with the help of our battalion’s booster club parents. Presenting the colors prior to kickoff were Cadet Major Gabriel Gomez as State Flag bearer, Cadet Sergeant Axel Andrade as right Guard, Cadet Command Sargeant Major Sherkesia Johnson as left Guard, and Cadet Major Eathan Clayton as National flag bearer. Overall, the honor guard was an immense success even though the cadets were met with new obstacles, they took any task head-on and did an excellent job.
