Jaguar Battalion Change of Command

On Wednesday, April 24th at 6:30 PM, the Port St. Lucie High School JROTC Jaguar Battalion hosted our Annual Change of Command Ceremony, Relinquishing the current Battalion Commander c/LTC Michael Coccaro of his duty and welcoming c/LTC Tamiya Ferguson to command and lead the Jaguar Battalion on a successful path for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. The Change of Command is a simple traditional event that is rich with symbolism and heritage.  The key to the change of command is the passing of the unit’s colors, symbolizing the commander’s responsibility to the organization. There were 180+ cadets part of the Change of Command Ceremony, Our wonderful principal Ms. Nicole Telese was our guest speaker, giving a very inspirational speech. Overall, the Ceremony was very motivational and successful.
