Important Covid-19 Information

We are excited to welcome our students back to school! Florida is currently experiencing a surge in COVID-19 cases, therefore, please review this important information regarding COVID-19. Florida law prohibits school districts from requiring students to wear a face mask.  However, a parent, at the parent’s sole discretion, may allow his/her child to wear a face mask.

  • Daily Home Health Screening Tool

Continue to use the Daily Home Health Screening Tool as a check each morning with your student before sending them to school. If your student is displaying any symptoms of illness they must stay home until they are symptom-free and fever-free without fever-reducing medication for 24 hours.

  • COVID-19 Vaccinations

SLPS encourages all eligible individuals age 5 years old and older to be fully vaccinated, including the recommended booster shots. Please visit Florida Department of Health (floridahealth.gov) to find a COVID-19 vaccination site.

  • COVID-19 Testing

SLPS has partnered with Allied Health to host an on-site COVID-19 testing location at Manatee Academy.  The site is open Monday – Friday, from 8:30 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. Continue to monitor the SLPS social media sites for updated information and new sites.

Additional testing sites in the county can be found by visiting the SLPS website at www.stlucieschools.org.
