Fort Pierce Central High School’s JROTC program proudly hosted its 42nd Annual Military Ball this past Friday, delivering an evening marked by tradition, excellence, and unforgettable moments. The formal event reflected the discipline, unity, and pride that define FPC’s cadets while celebrating their commitment to leadership and service.
The evening began with a dignified Presentation of the Colors, followed by the introduction of the head table and honored guests. Cadets then led a moving Salute to the Armed Forces and recognized prisoners of war, setting a respectful and meaningful tone. Time-honored traditions continued with the preparation of the punch by the punch masters, followed by dinner and dessert.
One of the most meaningful moments of the night was the recognition of senior cadets for their dedication and leadership. The celebration continued with Oscar-style awards, highlighting camaraderie and school spirit through categories such as Best Dressed, Most Patriotic, Class Clown, Cadet Choice Award, and the crowning of the JROTC Court. The program was enriched by an inspiring message from guest speaker Chaplain David Thompson of the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office. Following the formal program, cadets celebrated together on the dance floor, closing the night with joy and fellowship.
