Forest Grove Hosts Annual Murder Mystery Dinner Theater

Forest Grove Middle School hosted its 5th annual Murder Mystery Dinner Theater titled “Going to the Chapel and We’re Going to Get…Murdered?”  Students wrote and performed an original “whodunit” play filled with comedy and suspense after studying the elements of literature.  The cafeteria was transformed into a reception hall for the wedding of Olive Payne and Chris P. Bacon, two teachers at the fictional Forest Grove High.  The bride and groom are distraught when members of their wedding party are dying.  Between scenes, the audience was entertained with hilarious commercials created and performed by the students.  The evening began with a performance from our Jazz band directed by Bradley Esau and guests dined on a delicious meal served by student waiters and made possible by fundraising and donations from Mr. Rene Arteaga of TD Bank and Mrs. Tania Nelson of Frosted Bakery. This event was a culmination of our Parent Nights and promoted reading and writing.
