Mrs. Proctor’s class went on a shopping spree! Students were working on being able to analyze and use proportional relationships when problem-solving. Students looked up an item on sale, a sporting goods item, and a game/toy to purchase. Students had to choose which coupon they wanted to use for each item, making sure to get the biggest discount possible. Then, students had to calculate how much they would have to pay to purchase their item once the coupon amount was discounted! The sky was the limit, students were buying cars, houses, pools, yachts and so much more.
