Melody Hearn of the Family Care Council presented information to our Morningside Elementary students on Wednesday, October 26, 2016. She discussed the challenges and daily struggles of children and adults with Down Syndrome. To help educate the students, Melody had some hands-on demonstrations to show them how difficult it is to talk, play, write, and do everyday tasks. The students benefited from the engaging presentation and had a much better understanding of disabilities by the end of the program!
