Fairlawn Elementary’s second-grade students enjoyed a special day of learning, laughter, and family involvement during our annual Pumpkin Day celebration! Students were excited to welcome their family members into the classroom to participate in a variety of hands-on activities centered around pumpkins and math.
Throughout the day, students put their math skills to work as they counted pumpkin seeds, measured the height and circumference of their pumpkins, and explored weight by weighing their pumpkins. These engaging activities provided a wonderful opportunity for students to apply important math concepts in a fun, meaningful, and interactive way.
Events like Pumpkin Day remind us how important family involvement is in creating positive learning experiences for our students. We are grateful to all the family members who took time out of their busy schedules to join us, support our students, and help make the day such a memorable experience. Thank you for being part of what makes the Fairlawn family so special!
