Fairlawn Elementary Explorers Take on Learning at Wild Florida

Third-grade students at Fairlawn Elementary recently traded their classrooms for an exciting day of hands-on learning during a field trip to Wild Florida. From the moment they arrived, students were eager to explore and discover all that Florida’s unique wildlife and ecosystems have to offer. They observed native animals up close, learned about habitats found right here in our state, and gained a deeper appreciation for Florida’s natural environment.

Throughout the day, students asked thoughtful questions, made real-world connections to what they’ve been learning in class, and showed great enthusiasm for science and conservation. Experiences like this help bring learning to life and spark curiosity in ways textbooks simply can’t. The trip to Wild Florida was not only educational, but also unforgettable, giving Fairlawn’s third-graders memories—and knowledge—that will last a lifetime.
