Brain Break + Math Fun in Ms. Jacob’s Class!
Ms. Jacob’s 5th graders at Lawnwood Elementary School turned an ordinary brain break into an exciting learning opportunity with a twist—Rock-Paper-Scissors with math!
After each round, the winner challenged their opponent with a math question like:
“What’s a tenth times a tenth?”
“What’s 4 × 8?”
“Can you solve 40 × 800?”
This creative activity combined movement with mental math, helping students stay energized while reinforcing key concepts. It’s a fantastic way to keep those math minds sharp and make learning fun. Way to go, Lawnwood Leopards—showing that math can be active, engaging, and full of smiles!
