Dan McCarty Middle School – Food Pantry

On Tuesday 2/25, Mrs. Natta, 8th grade school counselor, was interviewed by the Treasure Coast Food Bank regarding the success of the Dan McCarty Food and Teen Pantry. In October of 2023, a student inspired Mrs. Natta and the school counseling department to start a food and teen pantry to help all our students and their families. The DMMS food pantry provides food like rice, canned goods, pasta, and chicken to our families, while the teen pantry provides items like soap, shampoo, conditioner, and toothpaste. The pantry even provides boxes of food and items to families that may not have a student at our school, but all students in SLC are truly our students. During the holidays, the pantry provides extra items for our families to help make their holidays special, such as a Thanksgiving box and a turkey! The DMMS food and teen pantry is open year-round, and students and their families can continue receiving items throughout the summer too!

Please direct questions regarding the Dan McCarty Food and Teen Pantry to Mrs. Wendi Bayless-Natta.
