Delegates from the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office met with the Cobra CERT, or the Cobra Community Emergency Response Team, and provided a donation for $1,000.00 to support the group’s continued efforts. A special thank you is extended to the Sheriff and his officers for their support.
Cobra CERT is an extracurricular program available to students at Fort Pierce Central High School. The club aims to equip students with lifesaving Emergency Response skills; such as: Disaster Medical Operations, First Aid, Search and Rescue, Fire Suppression, Radio Communications, Hazardous Weather Spotting, etc. Students are
also given the opportunity to work in collaboration with other Emergency Response organizations in their community and participate in community-wide events. In addition, they interact closely with professionals in related occupations, affording them the opportunity to explore a wide variety of related career fields.
