Project Citizen Visit at West Gate K-8

Congressman Brian Mast recently visited Ms. Estrella’s Civics students at West Gate K-8 to speak with them about their work addressing blue-green algae in the Indian River Lagoon. This issue is deeply important to the Congressman, who has worked at the federal level to regulate and reduce water releases from Lake Okeechobee. His firsthand knowledge and expertise provided valuable insight, helping students strengthen their project and continue advocating for clean water at the local level.
