Students in Ms. Morgan’s Media Research class recently combined research, creativity, and cultural learning through an engaging biography project in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. As part of the assignment, students selected an influential Hispanic figure and conducted research to learn more about that individual’s life, accomplishments, and lasting impact.
After gathering information from a variety of sources, students organized their findings into creative flip charts that showcased key details about their chosen person. Each project included sections highlighting the individual’s introduction, early life, career achievements, legacy, and sources used during the research process. The completed projects demonstrated students’ ability to conduct meaningful research, organize information effectively, and present their learning in a clear and engaging format.
The activity provided students with an opportunity to explore the contributions of notable Hispanic individuals while strengthening important academic skills such as research, critical thinking, reading, and writing. Students also gained a deeper appreciation for the diverse cultures, histories, and achievements that have helped shape our world.
