Lakewood Park Elementary End of Year Carnival Brings Joy, Rewards, and Celebration to Students

The excitement was in the air as our K–5 students gathered for one of the most anticipated events of the year, our PBIS End of the Year Carnival! What a fun-filled celebration for students who demonstrated positive behavior, kindness, and responsibility throughout the school year.
With bright decorations, upbeat music, and smiling faces everywhere, the carnival transformed our campus into a vibrant space of laughter and joy. Students enjoyed a variety of activities, including obstacle courses, soccer darts, basketball, bounce houses, staff dunk tank, and relay races. From Kona Ice to dunking your favorite teacher, there was something for every child to enjoy.
This PBIS, Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, initiative emphasizes recognizing and reinforcing positive behavior, and the carnival served as a perfect way to celebrate student success. Throughout the year, students earned rewards by showing respect, making responsible choices, and practicing safety. The carnival was a well-deserved celebration of their hard work and commitment.
One of the highlights of the day was the cotton candy and popcorn stations, which brought smiles to students’ faces as they enjoyed sweet treats with their friends. Teachers and staff also joined in the fun by volunteering for the dunk tank and playing with students, so a true sense of community was evident.
Events like the PBIS Carnival help strengthen our school culture by promoting positivity, teamwork, and encouragement. It was a wonderful way to end the school year on a high note and recognize the amazing efforts of our students.
A big thank you goes out to our staff and volunteers who helped make this celebration possible. We are proud of our students and all they have accomplished this year. We look forward to another year of positive choices and success!
