Mosaic Digital Academy 5th-Grader Wins Drop Savers Poster Contest

Josiah Begeansma, a 5th-grade student at Mosaic Digital Academy, is making waves with his commitment to water conservation! Josiah was named the 2026 Drop Savers Poster Contest winner for his grade level—an annual competition hosted by St. Lucie County in partnership with the Florida Section of the American Water Works Association (FSAWWA).
This year’s contest invited students from all grade levels to create posters promoting water conservation. With over 175 entries submitted from 9 schools, one winner was selected per grade level—and Josiah’s artwork stood out!
His winning poster creatively depicts a hand catching a drop of water flowing from Earth’s faucet, delivering a powerful message about protecting one of our most precious resources.
Josiah’s poster has now advanced to the statewide FSAWWA competition, where it will compete against other 5th-grade winners across Florida. Statewide results will be announced in April, recognized as Water Conservation Month. Josiah and his family have also been invited to be recognized at the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners Meeting in April! Yeah, Josiah!!!
