Innovation on Display at Regional STEM Fair

The St. Lucie County Annual Regional STEM Fair took place at Indian River State College in February, bringing together innovation, curiosity, and collaboration from across the district. More than 20 schools participated, sending their best and brightest STEM projects and highlighting the remarkable talent, creativity, and dedication of St. Lucie County students.

A total of 98 students submitted 84 impressive projects, representing a wide range of scientific inquiry, engineering design, and real‑world problem‑solving skills. Students confidently presented their work while engaging in thoughtful conversations about their research, design processes, and conclusions.

The event was made possible by the support of an outstanding group of scientists, doctors, Office of Teaching and Learning staff, and community members, who volunteered their time and expertise to serve as judges. Their meaningful feedback, thoughtful questions, and encouragement helped make the experience both authentic and inspiring for students.

The STEM Fair not only celebrated students’ academic excellence but also showcased the powerful partnerships between Indian River State College, UF/IFAS, USDA, St. Lucie Public Schools, the St. Lucie Education Foundation, and the community. Together, these partnerships help prepare students for future careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, reinforcing SLPS’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and student success.
