On Saturday, January 24, 2026, the Port St. Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion hosted its 31st Annual Military Ball at the Santa Lucia River Club. This formal event brought together cadets, faculty, and distinguished guests to celebrate another year of leadership and excellence. Male cadets attended in their Class A uniforms, while female cadets wore formal gowns.
The evening commenced with the formal posting of the colors. This year’s Color Guard was commanded by C/CPT Axel Andrade, serving as the National Flag Bearer. He was joined by C/1SG Hamza Alqadi as the State Flag Bearer, C/CPT Jaden McCown as the Right Guard, and C/1SG Christopher McKay as the Left Guard.
Following the ceremony, attendees participated in long-standing military traditions, including the Grog Bowl and the “Not-So-Oscars” award presentation. A highlight of the evening was the announcement of the Royal Court. C/CPT Jaden McCown and C/LTC Rebecca Guison were crowned Military Ball King and Queen, while C/1SG Sebastian Pereira and C/CPT Yaylen Zapeta were named Military Ball Prince and Princess.
After dinner, the Color Guard retired the colors, signaling the transition to the social portion of the night. The event was a resounding success, upholding the prestigious standards of the Jaguar Battalion and strengthening the bonds of the unit.
