The Port Saint Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion traveled to Lakeland, FL to compete in the Florida State Final Drill Competition on April 1st. Out of the 396 Army JROTC programs in FL, 108 schools qualified to compete at the State finals.
The Jaguars competed in the following events: Female Color Guard, commanded by Cadet First Sergeant Morgan Emerson, Female Platoon Unarmed Regulation, commanded by Cadet Captain Kaycee Rhodes, Female Squad Armed Regulation, commanded by Cadet First Sergeant Syanna Graham, Female Platoon Exhibition, commanded by Staff Sergeant Allison Wilhoit and Female Squad Armed Exhibition, commanded by Cadet Captain Sergeant Kaycee Rhodes.
Male Squad Unarmed Regulation, commanded by Cadet Major Adan Pagan, Male Squad Armed Regulation, commanded by Cadet Captain Travis Cetin, Male Platoon Unarmed Regulation, commanded by Cadet First Sergeant Schneider, and Male Squad Armed Exhibition, commanded by Cadet Major Dallas Reyes.
The Jaguars received 7 top 10 finishes, with the accomplishment of Cadet Captain Travis Cetin finishing in 7th place. Congratulations to all of the cadets who competed and to all the cadets who commanded.
