St. Lucie, Linda Tapia, host interviews Christine Caballero (School Counselor at Windmill Point Elementary) and Sonia Dupree (Executive Director of ENDIT) discuss valuable resources and community outreach programs for parents facing academic and social challenges with their elementary and teen children.

St. Lucie to learn of upcoming tests, 3rd grade summer program for students who didn’t pass, tools available to help parents monitor student’s progress, and resources that schools provide to support student success, along with the prevention of at-risk behaviors in teens through, music, acting or art.

Foundation Focus

In this segment of Foundation Focus we welcome Jackie Wolfe, Program Manager for the Education Foundation. The program discusses the events for the 2023-2024 school year for the Education Foundation. We are building capacity to increase our support to teachers and students. As we end the school year they are holding our Community Fun Run on Saturday, April 27 at the Safety Festival.  Plus we are holding our Annual Scholarship Ceremony on May 7. They are also planning to build an outdoor science classroom on spoil Island #8 in the Indian River Lagoon in cooperation with the State of Florida, the Forest Grove Marine & Oceanographic Academy.
