ST. LUCIE COUNTY – Principal Juanita Wright is joined by F. K. Sweet students and staff once again to honor veterans during the 8th Annual Veterans Day Celebration slated for Friday, November 4. Event organizers Helena Grapsy, Tammy Davis, and Barbara Bennett invite local veterans interested in participating in the ceremony to meet at the school’s campus located at 1400 Avenue Q in Fort Pierce prior to the 9 AM event kick-off.
The JROTC cadets from Fort Pierce Westwood High School will open the ceremony with the presentation of colors followed by remarks from a special guest speaker. An interpretive dance and parade will follow along with a campus tour of patriotic-themed displays. Honored guests will then enjoy a special breakfast prepared by the F. K. Sweet Cafeteria Staff.
