On Sept. 27th thirty-one TCHS HOSA Club members traveled from TCHS to Jupiter to participate in HOSA’s Regional Fall Leadership Conference. During the conference, HOSA students had the opportunity to observe the parliamentary process by listening to campaign speeches and voting for different candidates running for their prospective offices at the regional level. Members also voted on this year’s HOSA t-shirt design as well as learning about the HOSA national service project: National Pediatric Cancer Project. Our Club will participate with this effort by raising awareness and funds to support this foundation in research and development for a cure for pediatric cancer!
Our HOSA Club was part of 400 other HOSA members which allowed our students to collaborate with other schools and learn more about future leadership opportunities as they strive toward their own personal healthcare academic and career goals. Our club will travel to West Palm Beach in January of 2019 to participate in the HOSA Regional Winter Conference and various competitions. TCHS HOSA club members who rank first, second or third in their competition category will then have an opportunity to compete at a State level.
