Sunrise Theatre Offers School Time Performances

The Sunrise Theatre and the Sunrise Theatre Foundation are pleased to announce the 2018 school time performances!

Space is limited, so please plan early with your school administrator’s approval for your class or grade group participation. Confirm Theatre space and bus availability with the Sunrise, and ensure that all  District field trip procedures are followed.

For the 11th year the Sunrise Theatre is committed to providing students in St. Lucie, Indian River, Okeechobee, and Martin Counties the opportunity to attend live theatrical performances free of charge.

The School Time Performances offer current, challenging and artistically diverse programming performed by international, national and regional artists and theatrical companies. For some students, it is their first time seeing a live performance and for others yet another glimpse into the world of education, brought to life.

Ecology Is Awesome!

Thursday, May 3 at 10:30am
Recommended Grades K-8

STEVE TRASH: ECOLOGY IS AWESOME (A Totally Rockin’ Environment Show) focuses on pollution, conservation of natural resources, and the amazing connections that exist in the natural world. It features all new music, new tricks, new explanations, new Garbage Monsters (Garbage Monsters?) Yes. Garbage Monsters! And lots of new funny stuff. It’s a whole new show with the same ecological theme but different content! Woohoo. This show has almost exactly the same technical requirements as The Science of Ecology. It’s a one-man/solo show suitable for 500 – 1500 seat performing arts theatres. It’s a terrific eco-educational show that’s specifically tailored to the school audience. Steve’s shows are always an excellent blend of curriculum based ecological lessons (with lesson plans) and awesome green themed magic tricks, music, and craziness that kids find irresistible. STEVE TRASH: ECOLOGY IS AWESOME is an amazing new shows and kids will take home a new understanding of their connection to the planet.
