St. Lucie Public Schools Child Nutrition Services Department would like to congratulate Brandon Parks and Shannon Sears of Fort Pierce Central High School’s Culinary Program for winning the first Student Culinary Cook-Off. Their entree, Boom Boom Chicken Bake, will be featured on the 2018-2019 school lunch menu.
The purpose of the event was for student chefs to create enticing entrees for the School Meals Program following the USDA guidelines for the National School Lunch Program.
The middle school culinary arts program provided Smart Snack approved treats. Ms. Tremblay’s Culinary students (Meghan and Samantha Cooper-De Quesada) are shown below at Fort Pierce Central High School distributing their healthy frozen treats: Blue-Dillys and Straw-Dillys.
