FORT PIERCE, FL – St. Lucie Public Schools (SLPS) Child Nutrition Services Department in collaboration with the High School Culinary Arts Program will host the premier Student Chef Cook-Off at Fort Pierce Central High School Cafeteria on April 17, 2018 from 4-6 pm. The Tasting and Awards portion begins at 5:30 pm.
The purpose of the event is for SLPS student chefs to create enticing entrees for the School Meals Program following the USDA guidelines for the National School Lunch Program. The winning entrée will be featured on the 2018-2019 High School Lunch Menu. The Middle School Culinary Arts Program will provide Smart Snack approved treats.
