St. Lucie Public Schools Named Best Places to Work for Fourth Consecutive Year

With over 5,600 employees, St. Lucie Public Schools was just recognized as one of St. Lucie County’s Best Places to Work for 2020.  This is the fourth year in a row that the School District has received this honor in the “Large Employer” category. Determining factors include robust professional training programs, a valued new teacher induction program, and a fully-funded retirement program.

  • Averaged $1,463 per employee spent on Training and Development (Survey Average: $1,198)
  • Averaged 71 hours of training per employee in 2019 (Survey Average: 71.4%)
  • 100% of the employees participate in a Fully-Funded Retirement program
  • Additional safety, social and behavioral support employees to enhance safety and well-being in the workplace.
  • “A Promise is a Promise” program to high school seniors: SLPS graduates who complete a degree in education are guaranteed a teaching job with us.
