Southport Middle School Students Get Career Ready!

Southport Middle School had its first Career Day event on Thursday, October 8, 2015. Volunteers throughout the community came to present their careers to our 7th and 8th grade students. Presentations were job-fair style and  volunteers each had a designated table or assigned area where they spoke about their area of expertise. Students were able to walk through and view each of the displays. They were given advice and learned what educational training and personal skills are necessary in each field, and what a typical day is like through games and presentations.
