Southport Middle School Sixth Grade Service Projects

Southport Middle School students focused on a variety of service projects throughout the year. Teams from each grade level selected projects that students chose together that inspired them and benefited the community.

The sixth grade Marlins team chose to continue the Adopt a Street service project to help keep Port St. Lucie beautiful. Students from the team meet once a month to pick up litter on the streets around the campus. They cover Morningside Boulevard, past the Morningside Library and all along SE Greendon Road and are devoted to keeping Port St. Lucie beautiful, one piece of trash at a time.

Sixth grade Bobcats devoted their first service project to the Humane Society. These students created beautiful artwork to benefit the animals at the Humane Society of St. Lucie County. They were on display and up for sale this past Saturday. They also made dog rope toys and “No-Sew throws” to sell.
